The HR Academy offers you a broad range of training and professional development opportunities, which we update and expand on a quarterly basis. All training aligns with VA’s HR Competency Framework and focuses on the knowledge, skills and abilities required for all VA HR professionals.

Step 1: Download a Career Map
  • Access our Career Maps to help identify formal training and education, developmental activities and experiential learning you can pursue at VA.

Step 2: Meet with Your Supervisor
  • Consult your supervisor about individual learning and training goals. Be sure to get their approval before registering.

Step 3: Plan Your Program
  • Devise and finalize a program that best fits your goals.
