Career maps identify formal training and education, developmental activities and experiential learning you can pursue to address skills improvement and prepare for future assignments.

Mapping your career is a shared responsibility. Our goal is to provide you with a map of how available learning and professional development opportunities support you with acquiring the knowledge, skills and experience you need to succeed in your current position and to enhance your career. In turn, you are responsible for taking advantage of the learning and professional opportunities available to you to make the most of your career at VA.

One of the best ways to use a career map is as a planning tool. You are encouraged to:
